My Story

I am a storyteller without boundaries.

I tell stories that give ordinary people, who often never receive the spotlight, a stage for their voice. I offer more depth, information and emotion in a story than a person could gain by themselves. I produce a product that is better than attending the event or talking to the person I’m featuring.

I’ve learned these skills and how to continue refining them in the future at Marquette University and the most-watched news stations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

When you hire me, you’re not getting a standard writer; you’ll be gaining an asset that will contribute to the growth of your newsroom’s reach and its standing in the community.

When I was creating a story for the NBC station in Milwaukee, an older man came up to me while I was talking to one of the back-to-school drive's attendees. He told me, “Thank you for being here. It means a lot to me and everyone else.” That is the reason I continue my career in journalism.

Showing up to talk with regular people, understand their story and give them a microphone to tell it means a whole lot to them. People want their voices heard and when I can make it happen in a way that informs, emotionally moves and changes negative opinions about the news group I work for, it makes my labor mean something.

I’ll always be ecstatic to tell stories. That will never change. But the notion that those stories can improve people’s lives is what makes me so driven, purposeful, optimistic and growth-focused.

I’ve taken these charectaristics and created good work at multiple top-market news stations, on the front pages of newspapers, at the Men’s Big East Basketball Tournament in New York City, on Bleacher Report, at Brewers’ Opening Day and at the 2025 NFL Draft.

I am a great addition to any newsroom because I care deeply about the things I create, the work I do and how it affects those who view it.

As my freshman year journalism professor would always say, “Give a stage to the ordinary people who do extraordinary things.”

That fiery passion in me will never be snuffed.
